UX/UI design of a mobile application for networking
Inspiring people to gain meaningful connections during events
About the project
This application was my diploma work at the Digital Product Designer course at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest, Hungary. We were working in teams and were mentored by best UX experts in industry there in Hungary. The project was highly rated during the final presentation :)

About the app
Bagel - event networking app with a helpful and cute AI assistant (Bagel Bro) that helps to navigate the event and find useful contacts by matching interests.

Bagel app motivates networking by showcasing networking achievements, encourages to initiate communication by gamification (gathering and sending Bagels) and suggests conversation starting phrases.
In chapter 1 I talk about the UX research process, while in this chapter I focus on visualising our research outcomes.
Part 1. UX research for a networking mobile app
I describe the design process under Design Thinking approach where we in Bagel team defined a problem, researched users, ideated and suggested solutions. I share my designer view on what solutions we went forward with and also those we decided to take down.
Process:

  • Created user flows and prepared lo-fi prototype for user testing.
  • Usability tests showed that some features were unclear to users.
  • Redesigned the flow of finding and tested again.
  • Then created UI design of screens for several flows.
Selected screens of prototype in Axure
Selected screens design (event dashboard, networking progress dashboard, profile search)
Selected screens design (log in and onboarding)
Selected screens design (user profile, matching cart with swap, like business Tinder)
